After The Army...

Well, at this time of writing this post, I would like to say, "ORD loh!!" and also "It's been a extremely long while people...". Finally, being able to write again after so long... Oh, the nostalgia's true...

For some of my friends who don't know, yes, I have a blog and I do write, just that I chose to not write in the army as there's not a lot time for me to do so... and also because I found this to be a hassle trying to fit this in with army and all that I want to do...(although I guess the last two posts say otherwise). As for those who already know, well, LOOK WHO'S FINALLY BACK!?

Well, serving in army has been a rather life-changing experience for the last two years and honestly, I've realized that there's still so much lacking in me and I'm truly humbled by all that has happened, from meeting new people and friends, to suffering through all the training held in Basic Military Training (BMT), and finally reaching to this point of time. There's so much that if I were to put it in words, it would take me an entire blog post for each part of it, so I'm not going into detail... at least not over here.

However, I do have to say thanks to a few groups of people in this two years spent. Firstly, Raven Platoon 3, without you guys(and ladies), this BMT experience would not have been this memorable and fun, having spent the four months with all of you, going through all of the trainings and the highs and lows. Without all of you, things during this period of time would be so much more different and so much less memorable...

Secondly, Team CCO Workshop, HQ Armour, Sungei Gedong Camp, thank you guys for a extremely crazy and tiring one and half year's worth of a stay for the rest of my army experience. Honestly, I know I haven't exactly been the best team player, but I still got to thank you guys for accepting me with all my problems during my stay for Unit life. Seriously though, even though you guys are an handful (And I know I'm no exception), it's been an enjoyable trip through it all, even till the end of this wondrous journey (even if that meant almost puking blood and hoping to go home everyday to escape from the rest of you).

Third, has to go to my friends whom I've made over the course of these two years, as it's been a rough journey for a few of them to deal with my issues during army, and I do appreciate the care and concern, even if my words or actions say otherwise, cause face it, I'm bad at saying shit right out of my mouth without having to go through some expletives time to time...

Lastly, has to go to all my commanders, both BMT and Unit life. Without your guidance and your acceptance, I wouldn't have been able to see just how much I could and more importantly, can't do. With the BMT commanders, I've learnt that humility can really get you far, and that leadership doesn't come with a post and/or rank, but by the respect and the understanding of your team. With my Unit commanders, I've learnt that even if there are rules, sometimes, we have to be humane and turn the other cheek... Also, shouts out to the current commander in my Unit, although it's been a short 6 months, I thank you for all the time and effort you spent on a completely whiny, over-worrying, and most importantly, "full-of-surprises" me. I know how much have I not been like the rest of the team, constantly having you deal with all sorts of nonsense I've made, even till the days counting down to my ORD. Trust me, I have never felt more ashamed telling you, I'm sorry, and thank you Sir, for all you have done.

Now that all is said and done, it's time for me to move on to my next adventure. Where will I go, and what will happen, is truly yet to be set in stone. But I can say with all my heart, this has been truly, a wild ride, and all the memories are definitely ones I'll keep. Once again, ORD LOH!!
